“The Royal Harbour Hotel has a particular charm, starting with a prime spot across from Ramsgate's harbour. Its quirks-communal areas with books, and vinyl music-make it a memorable, eccentric base. Rooms are well-maintained, some with sea views, and the location is ideal for exploring local attractions.”

harbour view gem

great location harbour view friendly staff comfortable bedding
the location was excellent. i had a good view from my room overlooking the harbour (it was a treat). the building had character and the staff were friendly. the bedding was comfortable. i liked the little courtyard at the back with seating. complimentary tea and coffee were available in the lounges.
The stairs were a challenge. I was right at the top and it was difficult to get my cases up using the rope.

mixed feelings about harbour stay

no lift minimal staff assistance
the location proved convenient , and the artwork throughout was interesting.
the lack of a lift was problematic , especially with luggage up several flights of stairs. staff assistance was minimal and slow to materialize. furthermore , the room's fan barely provided any relief during a particularly hot night , leaving the space stuffy and uncomfortable.

Charming stay with harbour views

clean bedroom harbour access
The hotel bedroom was very clean with tea and coffee making facilities. The room included a tv and a shower. I liked the easy access to amenities overlooking the harbour.
I could hear every movement other guests made. The floors were so creaky, and the cistern flushed every time someone used the toilet.
Facilities

The hotel offers unique antique home feel with paintings and art on every wall. There are bookshelves and cosy leather sofas in communal areas. The garden is beautiful.
Location
10/10
